Domestic RHI
The DECC has announced today the tariff levels which have been set for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), which will be active in Spring 2014.
There are several technologies involved, but for biomass boilers, the tariff is 12.2p/kWh.
For installations undertaken now homeowners qualify for the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP), a £2000 grant to get you started until the RHI comes in.
The schme will be made available to homeowners, private and social landlords, third party owners of heating systems and people who build their own homes. Anyone who has installed a renewable heat technology since 15 July 2009 and meets the scheme eligibility criteria will be able to join the scheme.
